1. What is GuerrillaTel?

GuerrillaTel is a global phone service available directly from your mobile device or personal computer. GuerrillaTel connects people phone-to-phone – no headsets, just your regular telephones.

Join the GuerrillaTel revolution and manage your account online in our members’ section (e.g. buy minutes at rock-bottom prices, initiate telephone calls, add contacts, view your call history, etc.).

2. How do I make calls from my mobile phone?

Mobile phone users with data connections can simply open up the browser, login to www.guerrillatel.mobi (we recommend that you bookmark our mobile site), and initiate a call by clicking on a preloaded contact in the address book or entering the number directly. No downloads are required and users can access their GuerrillaTel account from anywhere at any time.

Smartphone users can download and install our phone-specific applications (e.g. BlackBerry® and iPhone® - other smartphone apps are in development) from the Tools section of our main website. Our smartphone applications access your existing contacts and interface seamlessly with the way you usually make calls. The only difference being that a user must press the device’s “Menu” button to choose “Call from GuerrillaTel” instead of the “Dial” button when a telephone number is submitted or a contact is chosen. 3. How does it work?

When you initiate a call (from your mobile device or PC), a signal is sent to our network over the internet. Your phone will ring immediately. When you answer the call, you will hear the ringing of the phone you are calling. That’s it. You can test the service at www.guerrillatel.com/flash/

4. Do I get charged by my wireless carrier when I place a call over the GuerrillaTel network?

If you can receive local inbound calls on your mobile phone for free, you will not be charged for the call by your wireless carrier. Depending on your plan, you may consume available monthly minutes.

5. Is it only one rate for calls initiated and terminated within the US and Canada?

Yes. The rate is only 3.9 cents per minute. $20 buys you more than 500 minutes of talk time.

6. How do I place an international call?

Place the call like you would a domestic call. However, submit the entire phone number starting with 011.

7. What about roaming charges?

You can access GuerrillaTel’s low rates only when calling from your own network. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid roaming charges. If you are calling from outside your network, do not use GuerrillaTel as you will be incur roaming charges via your wireless carrier in addition to the minutes you consume on GuerrillaTel’s network.

8. How do I buy credits?

GuerrillaTel accepts all major credit cards and PayPal in the secure members’ section.

9. Do you store credit card information?

No.

10. I heard that GuerrillaTel is “off the grid”. What does that mean?

Some users like the fact that calls placed over the GuerrillaTel network show up on your wireless carrier’s bill as calls from your own mobile phone number. In other words, the line item printed out on your bill does not disclose the actual number called. Of course, your actual phone records are always available to you in the secure members’ section at www.guerrillatel.com
